Rustenburg – A man facing 11 counts of rape, which he allegedly committed while on parole,  slipped out of his cuffs and out of a bathroom window of the Rustenburg Court house on Monday 30 July.

The Department of Correctional Services’ communications manager Advice Ramonnye told the Platinum Weekly: “The escapee was also serving 3781 days (more than 10 years) for previous violations of parole conditions when he escaped through a toilet window.

His foot cuffs were found inside the toilet by the official who was escorting him.”

Due to the swift reaction of the emergency support team, they were able to recapture the fugitive within three hours of his escape.
