RustenburgPlatinum Weekly donated back-copies of newspapers to an innovative initiative where newspapers were taped and packaged together to form sleeping bags in aid of people living on the streets across the city.

The project was revealed at the Waterfall Mall on Wednesday 18 July to commemorate late president Nelson Mandela’s centenary.

The initiative is the brainchild of Gys van Rooyen and Marlize Erasmus of Agapé Gemeente, and Juan Mitchel of Lions Club. Many homeless are set to benefit from the project which would help them keep the cold at bay.
