Rustenburg – Local Golden Oldies (senior citizens) joined ward councillor Cheryl Phillips and friends on Wednesday 18 July, when they once again hosted the ‘Christmas in July’ dinner at the WA van Zyl Hall.

With a lot of elbow grease and a little support from the community, they were able to host 110 guests. As guests entered the hall, they were greeted with a warm sherry to take the sting out of the cold winter afternoon. Inside, the hall was filled with soft music, a warm atmosphere and good company.

Foodworx made sure that the guests wanted for nothing while they served a traditional Christmas dinner and a delicious malva pudding with custard for desert.
