Rustenburg – A programme started by the current Mrs Rustenburg Chantel Krause in May this year, called Reach-Out, is yielding positive results for several deserving beneficiaries.

The programme includes the Winter Drive whereby donations are raised and then distributed to the needy.

Already, the programme has reached out to two schools including Laerskool David Brink, where they donated new school shoes, socks, gloves and tights.

The goods were donated by Professional Schoolwear and the community as represented by Naomi Pasino of StaanSaam Rustenburg, Adelé & Team, Marine, Margaret, Wendy (LifeLine), Lariozette, Matitza and Jessica.

Laerskool Proteapark received shoes, socks, gloves and tracksuits. Jabula Engineering Supplies was the main sponsor. Rustie Kidz Rustenburg was also sponsored with over 80 blankets.

The project will also include a Reach-Out to three additional schools in Rustenburg.

A feeding scheme is also in the wraps. This would entail a daily breakfast and lunch.

Chantel Krause urges the community to pledge donations of any kinds. “We need your support! We accept any goods. I would like to thank my amazing team Jakkie Goosen (my mother), Bennie Goosen (my dad), Stephen Krause (my husband) and all the anonymous sponsors I couldn’t have done it without all of you. And finally, the community for all your love and support,” said Chantel in an interview with the Platinum Weekly.
