Rustenburg – Lovers of music, good food and laughter were treated to a memorable 90th Rainhill Market held in Rustenburg on 25 March.

The morning started with the heavens opening with a slight drizzle and minutes later a double rainbow circle appeared on the horizon signalling to the organisers it was time to start. Visitors had a memorable day, listening to the soulful voice of Wikus Bothma and Marius Esterhuizen while enjoying the refreshments of the beer garden, the Hartley Pub & Restaurant and other stalls.

The following sponsors are thanked for a successful event:

  • SAB and KWV for sponsoring certain items in the beer garden.
  • KWV for the sponsorship of the tent that kept the visitors dry during the storm and in the shade when the sun came out.
  • Manie from Crazy Skips for helping them keep Rainhill litter free.
  • Trauma Rescue for being on standby – your presence is always appreciated!
  • Martin van der Westhuizen and his team from Westhouze Audio. Thank you for always providing the best sound - we can recommend you any day!
  • Eagle Roofs for putting a roof over the artist’s heads!
  • The clowns who kept the kids entertained in the play area.
  • The Hartley’s Pub & Restaurant staff – you all worked so hard and we appreciate every minute of the time you spend with us!
  • And last but not least, some of the family members- Derick, Renché, Simon, Susan and Henry. Thank you for helping to make the day run so smoothly!
