Rustenburg/ NW – “The Police arrested over 150 suspects for various offenses, mainly for contact crimes and property related crimes, between 8 and 11 December,” says brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, police spokesperson.

Of this number, 16 were arrested in Rustenburg, 47 in Brits, in 18 in Mahikeng, 46 in Klerksdorp, while a total of 23 were nabbed in Zeerust, Vryburg and in the Pudimoe Police clusters.

Since the launch of this operation in October, the following goods were seized: 21 motor vehicles and parts, 13 firearms, 114 ammunition, 48 dangerous weapons, over 8000 litres liquor, dagga and other drugs.

The operation, since October, yielded 807 arrests and 2445 fines were issued.

The North West provincial commissioner, lieutenant general Baile Motswenyane appreciates the work done by the Police.
