Rustenburg/ Phokeng – Platinum Stars recorded their first victory of the season after Vuyo Mere's solitary goal sunk Ajax Cape Town on 1 November, ever since the PSL season for 2017/2018 began.

The team is not doing well in the league, but the concern is its lack of support. Even when playing at home at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Moruleng, the chairs are empty in the stadium…

As a proud member of the Platinum Stars, the only team that represent the North West Province in the South African Premier Soccer League, I urge people especially in Rustenburg and surrounding areas… Let us go to the stadium to show our support to Dikwena.

This will motivate our players. I am concerned that the team might be relegated at the end of the season 2017/2018, but with our support, I believe the guys will do better.

Dikwena will take Bloemfontein Celtics on in a home match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on 21 November. I will be there, and hope you will be too.

Irrespective of the big teams you support, Platinum Stars is the son of soil. Let’s give it that support and courage – especially in home matches.
